Carol Adams Ministry-YES Mission Statement

The aim of YES is to improve the welfare of orphaned youth through provision of basic necessities,
health care and education so as to help alleviate poverty among the youth.

Our objective is to enable impoverished orphan youth to obtain education, formal or non-formal that is suited to
their interest, abilities, and co-operate with them to work towards successful implementation of their learning.

To provide a temporary home in a safe and nurturing environment for orphans in need of shelter and
basic health care

To provide impoverished orphans with training opportunities to acquire skills for independently caring
for their livelihood(Small business entrepreneurship, marketing, home agriculture projects, preserving, storing and
selling of foods)

To network with industries, companies, service agencies and organizations in order to facilitate access
to internships, practical experience, and employment for the orphans in need—during or after their schooling.
To start and run services to generate funds which will provide opportunities for training and for employment of
orphans.

To create and maintain recreational facilities and to initiate and inspire recreational activities with psychological,
spiritual, physical, intellectual, and social benefits for young people.

To open training centers, libraries, theatres and other facilities with the aim of educating youth and broadening
their perspectives on the world.

To further cross-cultural understanding and respect by providing impartial information on the cultures
and opportunity for shared experience as well as discovery of connections (tribes, religions, races).

To raise awareness on and popularize scientific models teaching food preparation, shelter construction, stoves,
water collection and environmentally friendly brick making.

To co-operate with other religions and organizations in teaching life training skills concerning health and HIV/AIDS
prevention with peer education.

To take a leadership role as an NGO that strives for self-sustainability after an initial investment period.
